Chief Data Scientist, Deutsche Bank
Andy Moniz is the Global Markets Chief Data Scientist at Deutsche Bank. Andy was previously a quantitative
portfolio manager at UBS, responsible for long-short stock selection and macro strategies at UBS O’Connor
and systematic Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) strategies at UBS Asset Management. Each of these
strategies combined accounting signals with unstructured data. Prior to UBS, Andy was a senior quantitative
portfolio manager at APG Asset Management where he was responsible for factor premia, text mining and ESG
stock selection strategies. Andy began his career in 2000 as a macroeconomist at the Bank of England.
Between 2003-2011, Andy worked in Quantitative Equities for various investment banks. Andy holds a BA and MA
in Economics from the University of Cambridge, a MSc in Statistics from the University of London, and a PhD
in Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing from Erasmus University, The Netherlands.
Director, Equity Derivatives Structuring, Credit Suisse
Bogdan Ianev is a Director in Equity Derivatives Structuring at Credit Suisse, where over the past 7 years he has been responsible for pricing and product design of various equity and cross-asset exotic derivatives as well as systematic investment strategies. Prior to his current role, Mr. Ianev spend 3 years structuring corporate derivative solutions for insurers also at Credit Suisse. Before that, Mr. Ianev worked for Prudential Financial in the Structured Finance Group as well as in various actuarial areas. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Wabash College. Mr. Ianev is a member of the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries. He is also certified Financial Risk Manager and a CFA charterholder.
