RavenPack’s CEO will participate in a panel about Alternative Data in this RavenPack-sponsored event.
The Battle of the Quants event is where solution providers, investors, and hedge funds come to find up-to-date information in the quant space, hear where allocations are generating the most alpha, and find out what’s new in quant fund strategies.
Armando will participate in a panel featuring other data providers.
The proliferation of alternative data continues unabated. However we appear to be approaching Peak Alternative Data, the point where each additional novel data source adds negligible value to the existing suite of signals. The question then will be, “where do we go from here?” Given that the value derived from data is largely limited to quantitative strategies run by those with the technological infrastructure to ingest novel data, what happens when these signals become more widely used by quantamental and fundamental investors? Will the efficacy of using unique data sets erode? How will Quantitative Managers maintain an edge? What is the next data revolution that will enable increased alpha generation.

Armando Gonzalez will be available for personal debriefs during the event.

High inflation has returned in developed markets after decades of lying low. In our latest paper, we show how to build an inflation-based asset allocation strategy using sentiment data and we illustrate that sentiment-based strategies outperform models that depend merely on past observed inflation values.
This year's RavenPack Research Symposium brought two intense days of knowledge sharing in London and New York, from 25 top experts in natural language processing, quantitative investing and machine learning. Together, we explored how firms can leverage new language models to generate alpha, better manage risk and respond to calls for more sustainable investment practices.
Human capital is at the heart of value creation. Our latest research demonstrates how unprecedented workforce insights, sourced from over 200 million job postings, can generate more alpha.
