Armando Gonzalez, President & CEO

As co-founder, Armando established RavenPack as a premier firm in sentiment analysis and natural language processing. A graduate of the American University of Paris, Armando started his career in finance and economics after venturing into market inefficiencies caused by information arbitrage. His research led to designing systems that turn textual news into data that can easily be consumed by quantitative models and trading programs.

Understanding that most banks and financial institutions did not have systematic approaches to incorporating news and sentiment into their trading models, Armando noticed that there were no data providers that specialized on this need. He saw an opportunity to fill the information gap for the thousands of financial firms who were beginning to explore the use of news in quantitative and algorithmic trading.

Armando is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable authorities on automated news and sentiment analysis. His commentary has appeared in leading business media such as the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, CNBC, The Trade News, among others. Armando is a recognized speaker at conferences on behavioral finance and algorithmic trading across the globe.

Don Williams, Managing Director, SVP Sales and Marketing

Don is responsible for all client facing activities and revenue generation. A highly motivated sales leader, Don has had extensive experience delivering content and technology solutions in financial, energy and corporate markets. Don has held senior executive positions with electronic publishers Reuters and McGraw-Hill/Standard & Poor's and is a veteran of several venture backed, technology startups. Don holds a degree in Mathematics and Computing Science from Simon Fraser University in Canada.

Jason S. Cornez, Senior Vice President & CTO

Jason joined RavenPack in 2003 and is responsible for the design and implementation of the RavenPack software platform. He is a hands-on technology leader, with a consistent record of delivering break-through products. A Silicon Valley start-up veteran with more than 15 years of professional experience, Jason combines technical know-how with an understanding of business needs to turn vision into reality. Jason holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science, along with undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and EECS, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tania Calvo, SVP Director of Administration & HR

Tania joined RavenPack in 2003 and assumed responsibility for RavenPack's financial, legal, tax, human resource, and administrative functions. With more than +15 years of experience in similar positions, Tania is a multi-talented, versatile, and experienced manager who has helped develop and strengthen companies from start-up organizations to large, privately-held companies with global presence. Prior to RavenPack, Tania has worked in the legal, healthcare and service sectors. Tania has been instrumental in shaping RavenPack's foundations as a commercial entity and a recognized leader in its space.
